Jelena Begović

Director of IMGGE and Full Research Professor

Dr. Begovic is the Director and Full Research Professor at the Institute of molecular genetics and genetic engineering. She is also a representative of Serbia in the ICGEB. Since 2013 she has been a Lecturer in Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, within the study program Microbiology and Immunology. Dr. Begović got her PhD in Biological sciences in 2008 at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. The main fields of her scientific research include molecular microbiology, molecular mechanisms for resistance to antibiotics and molecular mechanisms at the base of probiotic effects of bacteria.
