Marcos Vinícius de Souza

Director of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Brazil

Marcos is Director of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Brazil and Chair of the Board of the Institute of Technological Research (IPT). He took several leadership positions as National Secretary of Innovation in the Ministry of Industry and Undersecretary of Science and Technology in São Paulo State government. More than 20 years of experience in innovation policies, startup development and financing, investment attraction, workforce training, impact investment and digital economy strategies. Previously he worked in venture capital fund and management consulting firm. Marcos holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, training by VINNOVA (Swedish Innovation Agency), MBA in Cluster Development from ECLAC/United Nations and is a MIT D-Lab Innovation Ecosystem Builder Fellow.
